Mexican-American actress Xóchitl Gomez best known for her role as América Chávez in the Marvel Movie Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness that came out on 2023 is the winner of the 32nd season of ‘Dancing with the Stars’ on Tuesday night after both the redemption and freestyle dance.

In an interview, she said that her favorite part of participating was being able to show her true self in front of the TV which she does not really get to do in her job as an actress. In her own words, she said: “Here, I get to show different sides of me.”

The dances that led both Xóchitl and Val to the championship was her redemption dance to the song “Unconditionally” by Katy Perry. They received a perfect 10 in the performance. In additionally, for their freelance dance they chose the song “Que Calor” by District 78 to which they earned a perfect score of 30.

Xóchitl who is only 17 years old continues to impact the world and mainly the Mexican-American community with her various talents. In her freestyle dance, she brought her culture by including a backdrop inspired by The Day of the Dead which included an “ofrenda” (or “offering”). In an interview with Good Morning America, she said: “I took Val to his first Día de los Muertos dinner.”
