The Latino Heritage Festival/Latino Resources is accepting Scholarship applications. Deadline May 15, 2016. Requirements:
- Latino descent
- Des Moines Public School District student
- 3.0 GPA
- Completed application with essay
- Examples of Leadership/ Service
- Proof of cumulative GPA (i.e. current high school transcript)
Expectations:
Provide proof of college enrollment & represent the Latino Heritage Festival at an event in the following year. Other factors that will be used to determine the winners are involvement in school and in the community as well as financial need. The money will be awarded in the student’s name in the fall to the college they are enrolled in.
