Des Moines, Iowa – Iowa Migrant Movement for Justice (Iowa MMJ) will host its annual Advocacy Day during the Iowa Legislative Session. This training is an opportunity for community members to learn to use their voice to advocate for bills that can turn into law and build skills to benefit the lives of immigrants and refugees in Iowa. Participants will learn from other community leaders and receive hands-on support as they practice creating real positive change in our state. Trainings will include “How a bill becomes law”, Iowa Legislature Overview” and “How to Advocate”. For more information and to sign-up, contact our Advocacy team.
