Sones de México Ensemble’s family guitar and violin classes taught en español are grounded in the history, culture and geography of Mexico.
Learn to play music with a GRAMMY-nominated professional musician from Sones de México Ensemble. Five levels of instruction are offered in PIlsen, Rogers Park and online. We are expanding offerings at our Belmont Cragin location to three course levels in guitar and violin.
Classes are designed for children ages 9-18, but adults are welcome to join! Classes are taught in Spanish and the repertoire is based on traditional Mexican folk music but includes music theory that can be applied to any style of music.
The program also includes lessons in Mexico’s history, geography, and culture. We provide an instruction book to every student. Students must bring their own guitar or violin. Affordable instruments are available for purchase from us.
