Over the past decade, Latinos have launched more small businesses than any other demographic in this country*. In 2019, they contributed nearly $500B to the U.S. economy in annual sales*. While these businesses are a critical part of the U.S. economy, Latino-owned businesses are among the most impacted by this pandemic.

In order to best support Latino-owned businesses across Illinois during this time and beyond, Milpa Services, a strategy consulting firm, in partnership with the Illinois Department of Commerce of Economic Opportunity (DCEO), are conducting a statewide survey to measure the direct economic impact of this pandemic. A summary report with the results will be shared with all the community on Milpa Services site (milpaservices.com).
