As COVID 19 cases are on the rise all over the nation, with some states being hit harder than the others, the state of Illinois is about to enter phase 4 of their reopening plan.Â
On Monday, June 22, Governor Pritzker of Illinois made public the guidelines for transitioning to Phase 4 of reopening that is planned to begin on Friday, June 26. During Phase 4 of reopening health and fitness clubs, movies and theaters, museums and zoos, and indoor dining in restaurants will be allowed to do businesses with some restrictions. Here are some guidelines of Phase 4 for the state of Illinois:
-Meetings and events will be allowed with no more than 50 people or only 50% of the room capacity.Â
-Select Indoor and Outdoor recreation (bowling alleys, skating rinks and etc.), and clubhouses will be allowed to function with no more than 50 customers or 50% capacity of the facility.Â
-Restaurants can reopen for indoor dining for groups of 10 or less and tables are required to be spread at 10 feet apart. No more than 25% capacity allowed.Â
– Museums and zoos will be allowed to reopen with 25% occupancy. Guided tours will be limited to 50 people or less.Â
-Movie theaters and performing arts centers can allow admission of up to 50 customers or 50% of overall capacity. Concessions will be allowed with restrictions.Â
-Outdoor sports spectator events are now allowed but with no more than 20% its seating capacity and concessions will be allowed with some restrictions.Â
-Youth and recreational sports venues can operate at 50% facility capacity and 20% seating capacity for spectators and multiple groups of no more than 50 allowed only if a venue is big enough for people to be able to practice social distancing.Â
-Day camps will be allowed to do water-based activities according to IDPH guidelines and with no more than 50% facility capacity. Only 15 participants can be in one group.Â
The state of Illinois also announced that schools will be allowed to reopen with restrictions and requirements of face coverings. Face coverings are encouraged in Illinois when in public.Â
