The last time Ronda Rousey (5-0-0) was on Showtime, she broke the barriers down for women in MMA.

She also broke the arm of Miesha Tate (12-3-0) in the main event and took home the Strikeforce women’s bantamweight title.

Both Rousey and Tate are back this Saturday night at Strikeforce: Rousey vs. Kaufman but are facing different opponents.  Tate will fight Julie Kedzie on the undercard as Rousey will be back in the main event putting her title on the line against Sarah Kaufman.  It was on the undercard of Rousey vs. Tate last March that Kaufman and Alexis Davis put on fight of the night as they battled to see who would face the winner of Rousey and Tate.  Kaufman would take the split decision win over Davis and now faces Rousey for the bantamweight title on Saturday.

Also fighting on the card that night, Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza makes his return to the cage to take on Derek Brunson.  Tarec Saffiedine will face Roger Bowling. Lumumba Sayers squares off with Anthony Smith and heavy handed Ovince St. Preux and TJ Cook kick the night’s main card off.

Strikeforce: Rousey vs. Kaufman is this Saturday, August 18th live from the Valley View Casino Center in San Diego, CA at 10pm ET on Showtime.
