Responding to the challenges that health awareness faces today in the country, Community Health Care grows in the Quad Cities to better assist more people.

This organization started in 2009 with a new modern and strategic place located at 1106 4th Ave in Moline, in the center of the Quad Cities. Now the clinic is ready to continue with its mission.

“Our mission is to watch out for the health of the community in the Quad Cities offering quality assistance to every person who needs it”.

"The population know us already, we offer medical care regardless of income, migratory status, race or religious belief of the patient” assures Paula Ramos, head of Community Health Care’s All Kids Program.

This organization’s work in this part of the country began 34 years ago. Since its beginning in 1975 and in its different locations it offers medical and dental assistance at a preventive level such as treatments in acute and chronic cases, aside from emergency services, labs, x-rays, pharmacy, and nutrition among others.

In its new and modern facilities in Moline, the Community Health Care offers pediatric assistance to children of all ages. In general medicine it offers care to adults and the elderly. Physicals are also given at the clinic for sports and school.
The most important thing is the difference from any other medical center: this one accepts all medical insurances including MEDICARE and MEDICAID and not only that, those who don’t have any type of insurance are also assisted, paying only a small amount per consultation. The clinic gives discounts and accepts different forms of payment methods depending on the economic situation of the patient.

At the Community Health Care you can also find the Supplementary Special Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children (WIC, known by its initials in English).

Here the mothers can receive coupons for nutritional foods for them and/or their children up to age five; they also receive advice on nutrition and are able to keep their children’s shots up to date. Something very important is that WIC coordinates babies’ and children’s medical cares directly with the clinic’s podiatrist.

And that’s not all! For women who have no vehicle, the Program offers them transportation so they don’t miss their appointments.

At the new Community Health Care clinic in Moline, there are different types of assistance that are centralized for the community like All Kids, the Illinois State Program that give families access to complete health insurance if they are not able to afford private health insurance.

”All Kids is for all children living in Illinois who are 18 years old or less. Its an insurance that covers medical visits, hospitalizations, prescriptions, eye care, dental care and glasses aside from special services like medical equipment, speech therapy, and physical therapy for children that need it”, explains Paula Ramos, head of the Program.

All information about All Kids can be received at the Community Health Care in Moline in Spanish.

The Community Health Care in Moline benefits the Hispanic community of the Quad Cities in a great way not only because of all of its services in Spanish, but also because of its location. A few streets down from the new clinic the Floreciente neighborhood is found with approximately 500 families of which 90% are Hispanic. “We are happy to be able to help our whole community” the employees of this clinic coincide to affirm, which by the way has already opened its doors and everyday the clinic receives more and more patients who are attended with the same dedication and devotion.
