Centennial Park is located at 315 S. Marquette Street, Davenport Iowa, just on the opposite side of Modern Woodman Baseball Park from LeClaire Park.
VIVA Quad Cities and LULAC Quad Cities invite you to attend the Quad Cities largest celebration of Hispanic culture with food, dancing, live music, a Fiesta Queen contest, merchants and more. Celebrate the 25th Annual Viva Quad Cities Fiesta on the Davenport riverfront at the beautiful Centennial Park Saturday, September 8th from 11 am to 11 pm.
Headlining this year’s entertainment line-up is DJ Kane and his band. DJ Kane is the voice of the original Kumbia Kings and will be singing all of their hits. There will also be music from Grupo Innstinto, DJ Pachanga and local favorites Crooked Cactus and the Glenview Mariachi Band. The Quad Cities Ballet Folklorico will also perform.
A wide variety of food booths, arts, crafts and other vendors and a children’s activities area hosted by Western Illinois University Quad Cities round-out the event.
The Fiesta and organization continues to grow and succeed in raising scholarship money with over $280,000 awarded in scholarships since 1994. More than 5,000 people are expected to attend the 25th Anniversary of the VIVA Quad Cities Fiesta!
This year, LULAC Quad Cities presented 56 area students with a total of more than $ 50,000 in scholarships. These funds for scholarships are raised by LULAC QC through events and initiatives such as the Viva Quad Cities Fiesta. To date LULAC QC Davenport and Moline have awarded $585,000 to 970 QC area students.
Viva Quad Cities Fiesta is made possible through the outstanding support of numerous sponsors. Through their kind donations, VIVA Quad Cities has grown to the event that is it is today. The event could not take place if it weren’t for the hundreds of community volunteers that have donated their time over the years to make this exciting event a success.
