For the first time in the company’s history, the UFC will travel to Yas Island in Abu Dhabi as UFC 112 looks to be one of the biggest cards this year so far.
Regarded as one of the best mixed martial artists in the game, Anderson Silva will look to continue his ten fight win streak as he defends his middleweight belt against the Damian Maia, whom some think is the best ground practitioner in the UFC.
The lightweight belt will also be up for grabs as Frankie Edgar looks to dethrone the king of the lightweights, “The Prodigy” BJ Penn. With talks of Silva going up to light heavyweight and Penn going up to middleweight both are very comfortable in their division now and even after dominating performances in the past, still think there is plenty of new talent to fight before they move anywhere.
In addition to the two title fights, Matt Hughes will make his return after almost a year to the octagon as he welcomes MMA legend Renzo Gracie into the UFC. UFC 112 will air live on PPV, Saturday, April 10th at 10pm ET/ 7pm PT.
