The American Red Cross received today from the employees of THE National Bank a check in the amount of $8,000 directed to the Iowa Flood and Tornado Relief Fund. This relief fund benefits individuals affected by storm damage and flooding in both Iowa and Illinois.
After seeing the devastation caused by recent tornados and flooding, the 351 employees of THE National Bank set out to help their neighbors in need. On June 20th the bank’s employees at all 23 branches participated in an “extreme casual” day, which allowed them to leave their professional bank attire at home and dress ultra-casually when they made a donation to the Red Cross.
John DeDoncker, CEO and President of THE National Bank stated “I’m so very proud of the level of giving by our staff. So many lost everything in the recent floods and tornados, and our staff truly demonstrated that they care.”
