By Kenia Calderón Cerón, a 2021 Forty under 40 honoree
Seeing many Latinos in this year’s Business Record Forty under 40 honorees makes me hopeful that we have reached a pivotal point with inclusion. For years, the contribution of Black and brown business leaders has gone unnoticed. It is an honor to be among a diverse group of changemakers. This year’s Latino recipients come with different nationalities, legal status and sexual orientation. There’s beauty in seeing the diversity among our community represented as well. This is just the beginning. I am excited to bring more Latino leaders to this community and ensure our contributions are front and center.
