Grant Gerlock / Iowa Public Radio Tami Madsen, executive director of the Central Iowa Water Works, joined other officials from the area to warn about nitrate in drinking water. Madsen said if people stop watering their lawns, there will be enough water available that meets the EPA standard for nitrate.
