Iowa’s 4th district Republicans had enough of Steve King and tonight they voted for State Sen. Randy Feenstra  to be the Republican nominee for the November general elections according to WHO 13 News.
King has been a U.S. Congressman representing Iowa since 2002.
The controversial congressman has made headlines for his xenophobic and racist remarks throughout the years. The immigrant and Latino communities have been some of his favorite targets to attack. Â
In 2019 the Republican leadership at the House of Representatives stripped him of his committee assigments after he questioned in an interview with the New York Times how the terms “white nationalist, white supremacist, Western civilization” became offensive.
Feenstra will now face off Democratic Candidate J.D. Scholten in the general elections in November.
