Born on January 19th, 1964 in Jocotenango, Guatemala Ricardo Arjona is a singer and songwriter who has been recognized as one of the most successful Latin artists. In his career, he has won 24 awards, 77 nominations, and received the Latin Grammy Award for Best Male Pop Vocal Album for Adentro. In 2010 he was the “Latin Trajectory of the Year.”

The Guatemalan singer decided to end his tour “Blanco y Negro” which was interrupted by health issues. His tour was Sold Out and ended in Santiago, Chile. Many of his fans have had mixed emotions about Arjona’s decision, but most of them are supportive and recognize the impact he has made in the music industry.
Award-winning Arjona says in his farewell post: “To you who made the effort of the lines, the budgets, the inconvenience to attend one of my concerts, my sincere thanks” addressing his fans.
In the last picture of his carousel post he says: “Life and people have been immensely generous with this Guatemalan from the neighborhood, a public school teacher, who by playing the guitar, adding a few words and trying a melody, achieved a miracle that he never suspected (…) My name is Ricardo, those who “They want to call me ‘Seco’, and happier and fuller than ever, although, with an ailment that will soon be history, I say goodbye and thank you, with all my heart,” he published as a way of thanking his fans, and even added words of gratitude and also thanks to the team who accompanied him “not to be alone” throughout his journey.
