Red Cross Opens Shelter in East Moline

In response to flooding on Campbell’s Island, the American Red Cross has now opened a shelter in East Moline:

• Glenview Middle School, 3100 7th Street, East Moline, Ill.
In addition, Red Cross clean-up kits are available at the Red Cross office, 1100 River Drive, Moline between 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Those requesting kits should bring a photo ID with them and must be the homeowner of the affected home.

American Red Cross shelters are also open at the following locations. Families seeking shelter are urged to bring bedding and necessary medications with them to the shelter:

• Louisa and Muscatine School, 14354 170th Street, Letts, Iowa

• New Boston Fire Station, 602 Broadway Street, New Boston, Ill.
• West Burlington High School, 408 W. Van Weiss Blvd, Burlington, Iowa
Red Cross workers have been on the ground in Muscatine and Louisa counties conducting damage assessment to homes affected by flooding. If anyone is in need of Red Cross assistance, they are urged to call (309) 743-2166.
