Mummy 5K Run in Monmouth to fund scholarships for Latino Students

Halloween is an exciting holiday for children and adults alike. This year you can make your Halloween celebration into something special. Latinos Unidos de Monmouth invites everyone to join them for Mummy 5KRun.

Mummy 5K Run will be on Saturday, October 25th, 2014 at 9:00 AM at Monmouth-Roseville High School, 325 W 1st Ave, Monmouth, IL. Participants can come in Halloween costumes and run for a special cause. Latinos Unidos de Monmouth is organizing this event to raise funds for scholarship within Warren County for Latino High School students who are planning to go to college. 

It will be a fun filled day where participants can celebrate Halloween, do some exercise and help to raise money for some young persons with dreams of going to college. Participants can register online at http://getmeregistered.com/LUMMummyRun. The registration fee is $25 per person. The event will happen rain or shine.

Latinos Unidos de Monmouth is a non-for-profit organization that was founded in early 2012. The members of this organization are local college professors, high school teachers, residents, local business owners, representative from Illinois Coalition for Community Services and City of Monmouth councilman. Latinos Unidos de Monmouth offers educational workshops, informative workshops for Latino residents and scholarship fundraiser.
