With New Year’s behind us, it’s now time to make good on our resolutions we made for 2015. If you are like most people, you probably made a resolution that revolved around being healthier and being a better person. Tarpein’s Martial Arts in Moline, IL can help you achieve both this weekend.
Starting Friday, January 2nd at 10am through Sunday January 4th at 10am, the Moline Academy will be hosting the 1st Annual Brazilian Jujitsu Roll-A-Thon. The cost is $20 to train anytime in between those 48 hours and $10 if you would like to be a spectator.
All the money made from this event will be going to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospitals.
“We’ve done a few events similar to this before,” said owner Travis Tarpein. “But nothing this big.”
To close out the event, Carlson Gracie Black Belt, Jeff Neal will be doing a seminar on Sunday from 10am-12pm. The cost is $100.
“You don’t just have to come in and roll, you can also use the bags and spar.” said Tarpein. “It’s pretty much like an open house for the weekend.”
