It was the not the Democrats, nor the Republicans that named the first Hispanic Vice President nominee, it was the Green Party. Former San Francisco Board of Supervisors President, Matt Gonzalez has been named running mate by Ralph Nader.

Gonzalez wrote a piece on Barack Obama where he complained that Obama would leave as many as many as 60,000 troops in Iraq. His piece was titled “The Obama Craze-Count me Out.” On Hillary Clinton, Gonzalez said she has supported lots of bad policies telling The San Francisco Chronicle that she had supported lots of bad public policies from authorizing the use of force in Iraq to NAFTA.
Nader admits that he’s a long shot to win the election but he and Gonzalez are hoping to bring up the issue of trade in the election.
