Marquez for the Win

(December 9, 2012- MGM Grand Arena) I would imagine that no one was more surprised at the sight of

Juan Manuel Marquez standing over the limp body of Manny Pacquiao, than Floyd “Money” Mayweather.  In their fourth meeting, Marquez did the unthinkable.  Coming out visibly bigger and stronger, Marquez didn’t back down from the barrage of punches coming from Pacquiao in the first two rounds. After flooring Pac-Man in the third round courtesy of an overhand right, Pacquiao evened the playing field dropping Marquez in the fifth round.  But it will be what happened in the last second of the sixth round that will keep people talking for years to come.  After a vicious exchange from both fighters in the last ten seconds of the round, Marquez landed a huge right hand, instantly sending Pacquiao face first into the mat, taking almost two minutes to regain consciousness.  As for what happens next, Pacquiao said that he would fight Marquez for a fifth time.  I have a feeling Mayweather will have a few things to say about that.
