We are approaching the beginning of fall, the time of the year when high school seniors are starting to apply to colleges and their parents are starting to panic at the sight of a thirty-five thousand dollar tuition fee. Do not forget, though, that there are many ways to help pay for an expensive tuition.
Students can apply for student loans or get an extra job to pay for college. Money is not the reason why most people do not attend college, their desire to attend is the real issue. If you do not want to incur debt with student loans, though it is the best debt you will ever have, or take on a job, there is another way to obtain money for college: scholarships.
I know that some students may be thinking that scholarships are out of the question, because they are not the best in their class or do not earn straight A’s, but there are many types of scholarships that are available to people with different strengths. Listed below are some scholarships with their descriptions, eligibility requirements, reward values, website addresses, and deadlines.
