LULAC National has put together a comprehensive resource kit for Spanish speaking members of the community.  The “Kit de Recursos para el COVID-19” can be found here Covid19_LULAC_OnlineResource.

“LULAC is aware of the burden COVID-19 is having on the Latino communities of Iowa and we are actively taking steps to provide assistance where we need it most.  Right now there are vast resources for the community but a lot of these resources are in English only which leaves much of our community behind. That is why LULAC has put together a comprehensive resource kit for Spanish speaking members of the community so they have the same access to these important resources.” said Nick Salazar, LULAC Iowa State Director.

“To make sure that these resources reach the Spanish speaking community during this pandemic LULAC has launched an online campaign called #AyudaEnEnspañol where members and friends of LULAC can make a social media post telling who #AyudaEnEspanol is important for in their life and then challenge other members and friends of LULAC to do the same.  By doing this we hope to increase the visibility of these resources and inspire members of the community to take advantage of it.” Salazar added.
