LULAC Day at the Iowa State Capitol is set for March 31st

The League of United Latin American Citizens of Iowa (LULAC of Iowa) is hosting a “LULAC Day at the Capitol” at the Iowa State Capitol 1st Floor Rotunda West and South Sections.

The LULAC Day at the Capitol welcomes LULAC members, Iowa lawmakers, and the public to hear the state of the Hispanic community in Iowa and address key policy priorities.

The LULAC Iowa Civic Engagement Committee will present LULAC Iowa’s top legislative priorities and their membership driven process of identifying these issues in their communities.  Iowa LULAC leaders, legislators, community activists, and experts will also speak on the issues of key importance.

The event will create the space for those in attendance to learn about the important issues and meet with their lawmakers to address these issues.
