MOLINE The time for celebration of Our Lady of Guadalupe is near. This year December 12 falls on Saturday. And many churches in the Quad Cities have a lot of festivities planned for this day. St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Moline had planned out the whole night for everyone to come together and to celebrate Our Lady of Guadalupe.
For first time ever the celebration will begin at 11:00 PM on December 11 with rosary prayer and mañanitas. After this stay for special 1:00 AM early morning Mass. Right after mass enjoy performances of December dances from 2:00 AM to 4:00 AM. At 4:00 AM there will be reenactment of the appearances of Our Lady of Guadalupe. At 5:00 in the morning everyone is invited to join to pray rosary and at 6:00 AM there will be another Dawn Mass. From 7:00 AM to 8:00 AM stay for more performances of dances and songs by groups and choirs of our region. The festivities will end with a breakfast at 8:00 AM that will take place at the church gymnasium.

STERLING
As many know December 12 is a celebration of Our Lady of Guadalupe. This year it will be on Saturday. Many local churches will have customary masses and celebrations on this day. St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Sterling, IL will also be celebration this important day for so many Mexicans and others.
