Leave!

The miraculous recipe to solve, in a big way, the current problem of unemployment that the country is experiencing the California District 42 Lower House representative, Gary Miller, who finds himself promoting his new LEAVE law project amongst his Congress colleagues, pretends to have found it.

To add cosponsors to the 14 consignees, congressman Miller has been sending information to his peers where pure mathematics and despise for the human race have taken precedence.

“Currently, it’s estimated that eight million illegal immigrants are employed while more that 15 million US citizens are unemployed,” says Miller.

“Simply by applying immigration laws, eight million jobs will be created for citizens and legal employees,” the legislator concludes.

Miller argues that the undocumented have “stolen” those positions and his law project is the formula to recover them.

The representative sketches out a strategy that promises to reduce the number of “illegals” by one million and a half every year, with a projection to diminish the current undocumented population in the country by the middle of a five year period.

The series of measures, that he has as the strongest point to take away citizenship from children born to undocumented people in the US, is accompanied by other harmful components.

Project H.R. 994 regulates the valid identifications to open bank accounts and prohibits lenders from giving regular credit or loans to those who do not possess the permitted documents, in other words those not accessible for “illegal’s”.

To assure his objectives, this eliminates any possibility for undocumented people to obtain driver’s licenses and modifies the criteria of given personal identification numbers or ITIN’s, impeding those who don’t have immigration status not pay taxes and in that way fulfill their obligations with Uncle Sam.

It will also not allow undocumented people to transfer money to Mexico, establishing guidelines with this purpose to the Federal Reserve.

The norm proposes to amplify the employment verification system E-Verify, ban the rent of a house or house an undocumented person and penalize the sanctuary cities.

Prohibiting undocumented students from starting up in superior education institutions is another one of the Miller’s project premise that compliments his garbage backing the cooperation programs between federal entities and state and local institutions to deport undocumented people.

Giving funds to complete the wall construction on the border with Mexico doesn’t get away from the congressman.

Miller presented his law project on the 11th of February, but before that on the 21st of January, Representative Jason Chaffetz, from Utah, introduces his resolution 1026 that appeals a patriotic language to repudiate undocumented people and close the way to an integral immigration reform.

The so called BRIDGE resolution that speaks about peace, prosperity and liberty has 54 cosponsors and gives a climax that no type of legalization be approved.

There are those who support Miller’s proposal and Chaffetz resolution won’t go anywhere and won’t be approved in the Lower House, but embody the in-style anti-immigration movement, of the tea rebels, of the supporters of the so-called Tea Party.

The worst the pro immigrants could do would be to not notice the Sword of Damocles that these projects represent in the search to make the expulsion of 12 million undocumented people a reality.

I think that there are many reasons to go out to the streets of Washington next Sunday, March 21. There’s no other way than to urge President Obama to keep his word and remind many members of Congress that the catapult of his election was the Hispanic vote.
