The Iowa Unity Coalition will host a Gubernatorial Candidate Forum on Saturday, January 22, 2022 from 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm at the United Steelworkers Local 310, 125 NW Broadway, Des Moines. Doors for the event will open at 12:00 pm. Gubernatorial candidate Deidre DeJear will take part in the forum beginning at 2:00 PM. Waterloo Mayor Quentin Hart will be a special guest speaker in the second half hour of the program.
“I’m excited to be part of a multicultural organization dedicated to bringing access to gubernatorial candidates to communities that are traditionally marginalized in the political arena.” said Luisita Dona McBurney, Treasurer for the Iowa Unity Coalition.
“Our goal is to make sure we’re taking advantage of this opportunity to ask the questions our communities feel passionate about and spread the word to as many members as possible.” she added.
