Department of Agriculture (USDA) Farm and Food Worker Relief Grants in the state of Iowa. These grants were created to reimburse farm and food workers for personal COVID-19 related expenses they incurred during the pandemic. All eligible workers will receive a one-time benefit of $600.

What documents do I need to apply?
Photo ID A legal photo ID is required. This can be a valid Iowa Driver’s License, Consular or Government Issued Identification, Foreign or Domestic H2A Visa/H2B Visa, or Passport.
Proof of Employment at a food processing/meatpacking facility or farm Proof of employment is required. Accepted forms of proof of employment include W-2 Tax Form from 2020,2021, or 2022, Paystub from January 27, 2020-May 11, 2023, Employer Letter/Contract signed by the employer, H2A Visa/ H2B Visa, or Photographic Evidence of employee working at the worksite) with a written attestation signed by the employer.
Attest to Incurring Additional Expenses Due to COVID-19 Pandemic Attestation (a personal confirmation) that the applicant incurred reasonable and necessary personal, family, or living expenses because of COVID-19. This includes the purchase of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as masks and gloves, expenses associated with quarantines and COVID-19 testing, and/or dependent care.
