Amid the current Covid -19 outbreak, IowaWORKS Centers are taking significant steps to follow the Iowa Department of Public Health’s guidance for social distancing. Â
Effective 3/20/20, IowaWORKS offices will only be open to customers with an appointment, or to accept identity verification from customers applying for benefits. Â
Please call or email the agency to receive assistance from the safety of your own home: [email protected] or 866-239-0843. Spanish speaking staff are available and can enter initial and weekly claims if workers do not have computer access. Due to a higher volume of calls on our unemployment insurance customer service line, wait times may be longer than usual. We encourage you to remain on the line until a representative answers. Thank you for your patience.
