Amid the current Covid -19 outbreak, IowaWORKS Centers are taking significant steps to follow the Iowa Department of Public Health’s guidance for social distancing.

Effective 3/20/20, IowaWORKS offices will only be open to customers with an appointment, or to accept identity verification from customers applying for benefits.

Please call or email the agency to receive assistance from the safety of your own home: [email protected] or 866-239-0843.  Spanish speaking staff are available and can enter initial and weekly claims if workers do not have computer access.  Due to a higher volume of calls on our unemployment insurance customer service line, wait times may be longer than usual.  We encourage you to remain on the line until a representative answers. Thank you for your patience.
