For 41 years, Proteus has worked one-on-one with agriculture and farm workers. Proteus bridges the gap to support agricultural workers in accessing healthcare, education, employment/training, and housing services. Funding raised at this event will support the impact Proteus has in the community, including helping over 400 families achieve self-sufficiency, training on health and safety to over 7,500 farmworkers, and over 2,000 of which received COVID-19 testing in the past 6 months.
Daniel Hoffman-Zinnel, Chief Executive Officer at Proteus, Inc. said, “At Proteus, we have always known farmworkers are essential. Yet as we navigate through this pandemic, it is even more necessary to understand just how essential these individuals really are. Farmworkers are some of the most hard-working and grateful individuals I have ever worked with. I am thankful for farmworkers and grateful for the Proteus team. Aside from providing safety-net services to these individuals and families each and every day, we have been innovative and proactive in how we expand services in light of COVID-19. I would urge everyone to attend our event to share your appreciation of farmworkers but to also learn about and be able to support the services Proteus provides to them in Iowa, Indiana, and Nebraska.
