Spanish pop-rock band Hombres G is having its 40th-anniversary tour and will be performing in Rosemont, Illinois in June 2024.
Hombres G was formed in Madrid, Spain in 1983. This band was one of the most popular ones in the 1980s and early 1990s. It is composed of members David Summers who is the singer, Daniel Mezquita and Rafael Gutiérrez who are the guitarist, and Javier Molida who is the drummer.
This band was heavily inspired by the band The Beatles from Britain. According to the Hombres G official website: “Venezia and Marta Tiene un Marcapasos, their first singles, were released in independence and received a lukewarm response. It would be a year later when, under the auspices of Paco Martín, the group recorded their first album, self-titled. Little by little, the single Devuélveme a mi Chica would begin to be played on the radio until it was hummed by people of all kinds. With this song, and with the recovered Venezia, Hombres G became a social phenomenon. From the end of 1984 and throughout ’85, the band lived in debauchery: hundreds of thousands of records sold, fans going crazy, streets collapsing in their path…”
This band was known in American countries such as Ecuador, Chile, Colombia, El Salvador, the United States, Mexico, and Venezuela.
Among their most listened to songs are “Devuelveme a mi chica” with over 520,000,000 plays, followed by “Te quiero” with over 280,00,000 plays.
This year on November 24th they released a new album named Del Rosa al Amarillo which celebrates their 40 years in stages and creates a limited edition of a compilation of their most famous songs.
Other concerts will take place in Miami, Los Angeles, El Paso, and New York. The tickets will go live on December 1st, 2024. Buy your tickets here!
