Los Bukis are scheduled to embark on a residency in Las Vegas, commencing in May and finishing in September at Dolby Live at Park MGM. This 15-night engagement starting in May will mark the inaugural all-Spanish-language residency on the Strip, as confirmed by a press release from Live Nation and MGM Resorts International.
In an interview with Los Bukis conducted by Remezcla, lead singer and songwriter Marco Antonio SolÃs expressed immense joy and enthusiasm about this new accomplishment. He stated, “It fills us with joy, with enthusiasm, to be able to do this for our audience.” SolÃs emphasized the significance of the residency, portraying it as a source of pride for Mexicans and for their genre of romantic and nostalgic music, which is centered on their devoted audience, known as “La BukimanÃa.”
Los Bukis have had a strong impact on the Latino community in the United States. On May 3, 2022, the legendary Mexican music group officially declared Los Bukis Day as they announced a new U.S. tour, including a performance at the Los Angeles Coliseum. Subsequently, the Los Angeles City Council formally declared May 3 as El Dia de Los Bukis, or Los Bukis Day, recognizing the group’s enduring influence and cultural significance.
