The end of summer does not have to make you feel sad. The last warm days of summer are meant to be enjoyed and celebrated. September 15 marks the beginning of the celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month. That is why there are a lot of Latino Festivals going on at the end of summer. And to make it easier for you to enjoy these last couple of weeks of warm weather by attending some of the fun family-friendly festivals that happening in September all throughout the state of Iowa we created a list of them. VIVA Quad Cities

VIVA Quad Cities is celebrating its 26th year this year. This family-friendly event always offers many great things to do. This year is no exception. There will be food, merchandise, and service vendors. A whole area filled with fun just for children. Presentation of colors and lots of music and dancing. This year’s headliner is Isabel Marie. A Fun event for the whole family to enjoy. Instead of just sprinkling a few children’s activities here and there, this event will have its own Children’s Fest that will run from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM. After Children’s Fest stay for the parade and other fun presentations like Danza de Los Viejitos (Dance of the Elderly), Danza Guadalupana (dance presentation), music by SonPERUchos and others. The headliner for this fest will be Los Cadetes de Linares.
Festival Latino de Cedar Rapids

This year there will be more music and fun. Those who are planning to attend will be able to enjoy a variety of delicious foods from vendors. There will be the performance of traditional and colorful dances by Quad Cities Folkloric Ballet. DJ Byron will play popular music and Grupo Instinto will take the main stage to play live. Children will love this event too. There will be bounce houses and piñatas.
Festival Latino de Cedar Rapids is promising to be great this year. Also, this year the mayor of Cedar Rapids will make a proclamation and two Cedar Rapids High School graduates will be awarded scholarships.
VIVA Ottumwa
