From the great Mexican state of Guanajuato comes the musical troupe Tuna del Distrito Universitario for a special performance at the Moline Public Library on Monday, Sept. 8 at 6:30 p.m. In collaboration with Casa Guanajuato and the government of the State of Guanajuato, this group will give a musical performance that relives the 15th century with its music, dress and spirit.
The group is made up of college students and originally performed and sang in the streets of Guanjuato. The members study a diverse set of majors and also have members who work with the government and in education.
No advanced registration is required for this opportunity to witness a Mexican Estudiantina troupe perform. Admission is free and refreshments will be served.
