Both Austin Trout (26-0-0) and Mexican rising star Saul “Canelo” Alvarez (41-0-1) will walk into the ring at the Alamodome on Saturday night as undefeated fighters and champions.  One of two will be leaving Texas and returning home with the first loss on their record and no title as they will fight to unify the Super Welterweight World Championship title tonight.  Even though Alvarez has steamrolled his opponents thus far, there has been talk that he hasn’t been challenged yet.  Miguel Cotto was supposed to be the big test for Alvarez but Trout pulled off the upset win last December and got the nod to fight Alvarez.  Alvarez should stick to his usual style of pressing forward and dropping big body shots but as we have seen in Trout’s last two fights, he has come in as the underdog and came out on top.  If Alvarez can get through Trout tonight, Mayweather may be next up, and September seems like a good time for that fight.
