WQPT selected a winner in the 34TH ANNUAL TELLY AWARDS

MOLINE, IL – The Telly Awards has named WQPT as a Silver winner in the 34th Annual Telly Awards for the piece, “Achieve Quad Cities.”

“With nearly 11,000 entries from 50 states and numerous countries, this is truly an honor,” said WQPT Director Mary Pruess. “As one of the smallest PBS stations in the United States, we are delighted that Lora Adams and Chris Ryder have brought this honor home.”

The Telly Awards were founded in 1979 and is the premier award honoring outstanding local, regional and cable TV commercials and programs, the finest video and film productions and online commercials, video and films. Winners represent the best work of the most respected advertising agencies, production companies, television stations, cable operators and corporate video departments in the world. Less than 10 percent of entries are chosen as winners of the Silver Telly, the highest honor, while approximately 25 percent of entries are chosen as Bronze Telly winners.
