After 2 years without the International Festival – the event that shows the diversity of the Quad Cities – it returns to Black Hawk College and they are looking for food vendors, artists, and people who would like to perform. Holly Smith said that the event attracts a crowd of more than 1,000 people.Performers are helping the International Festival raise money for international student scholarships at Black Hawk College. Participants in the International Festival are able to show special skills learned from their home country. People can try food from various countries, check out crafts and watch traditional dances and demonstrations on the main stage.The 2007 event takes place on Saturday, April 14 at Black Hawk College, 6600 34th Avenue, Moline, Ill. inside the Building 3 gymnasium from 4-10 p.m. The cost is $25 per table for food vendors. Electricity is available but vendors should bring everything needed to prepare their food.The application deadline is March 31.
