The Partnership for Prescription Assistance will bring its “Help is Here Express” bus tour to Trinity’s 7th Street Campus, 500 John Deere Road, Moline, from 9-10:30 a.m., Monday, April 7, to help people within the community apply for assistance to pay for prescription medications.
Trained staff members will be available to help those interested apply for all local, state and federal assistance programs, free of charge. Actor Joey Pantoliano, who is known for his television role on HBO’s The Sopranos, will also be attending the event to help raise awareness of prescription assistance programs. Having suffered from depression, Pantoliano is now traveling with the “Help is Here Express” tour to encourage people to apply for prescription assistance.
Each year, the Trinity Health Foundation works to make health care more affordable for those in need. In fact, over the past six years the foundation has awarded more than $105,000 in assistance through its Emergency Prescription Medication grants.
The Partnership for Prescription Assistance has helped more than four million low-income, uninsured or underinsured Americans find programs that provide them prescription medicines for free or nearly free.
