Fiesta Back of the Yards 2016 Street Festival Celebrates 26 Years in the Community

The BYNC is hosting its 26th Annual “Fiesta Back of the Yards,” a three-day street festival featuring live entertainment, rides & games, dozens of food vendors, talent show and “Miss Belleza Chiquita” pageant. “Fiesta” provides a safe, family-friendly environment to all in attendance while they celebrate the area’s culturally-rich identity. “Fiesta” also promotes a positive image of the community, which is all-too-often tainted by senseless street violence and crime. This year’s entertainment will be headlined by La Nueva Sonora Santanera, Sonora Dinamita de Colombia and Lorenzo Vega “El Mil Amores.”  Some special promotions that will be featured at this year’s event include: free samples and inflatable games provided by McDonald’s, Goya products and Starbucks’ DoubleShot Energy. Fiesta is made possible, in part, by many proud sponsorships, including: McDonald’s Hispanic Owner-Operator Association (MHOA), ComCast, ComEd, Coca-Cola, Goya, Chicago White Sox, Harmony Health, Starbucks, Dr. Pepper, AT&T and La Que Buena.
