Bellator makes its return to the Chicagoland area this Saturday night and they are bringing the Heavyweight World Grand Prix Tournament with them. The Allstate Arena will play host to Bellator 198: Fedor vs. Mir in Rosemont, IL with a heavyweight match up ten years in the making.

Still in the opening round, former UFC heavyweight champion, Frank Mir will be making his Bellator debut taking on MMA legend Fedor Emelianenko. The winner will face Chael Sonnen later this year. Sonnen beat Quinton “Rampage” Jackson in January and fans seemed to like the fact that a possible Fedor/Sonnen fight could be in the future with all the trash talk that has been going on since Sonnen’s win. Also in the tournament, Matt Mitrione defeated Roy Nelson this past February to move on to the semi-finals and Ryan Badar will face King Mo Lawal in May to cap off the opening round.

Also on the main card, Emmanuel Sanchez will face Sam Sicilia in the co-main event of the evening. Sanchez defeated former bantamweight champion Marcos Galvao this time last year from the same arena and comes in on a three fight win streak.
Neiman Gracie takes on Javier Torres in the welterweight division, middleweights, Gerald Harris and Rafael Lovato Jr also square off on the main card, but the fight that is getting the most attention outside of the main event is the debut of Conor McGregor protégé, Dillon Danis. All eyes will be on the jiu-jitsu wizard as looks to make a big impact in Bellator and the MMA world.
