The Quad Cities area has a lot of chiropractic clinics and doctors. Surely, most of these doctors provide great care to their patients, but for many of us they stay strangers in a white doctor’s coat. Hola America Newspaper decided to look beyond a white doctor’s coat and as a result we found an interesting story of this chiropractic doctor.

Dr. Anthony Joseph Moreno was born and raised in East Moline, Illinois. He might be one of the sons of well known ex mayor of East Moline Joe Moreno, but that is not what makes Dr. Moreno an extraordinary person and good chiropractic doctor. Dr. Moreno is a very proud veteran who served his country for more than 17 years.

“My parents always taught us kids to reach for the stars, so I had to ‘Aim High’ into the US Air Force,” Dr. Moreno explains. After 5 years of active duty with the US Air Force, he was honorably discharged. His civilian life lasted exactly 68 days. As soon as Dr. Moreno found out about the 911 tragedy, he immediately reenlisted into the Illinois Air National Guard.

“I knew this was my calling and there was no the option,” Dr. Moreno says. Dr. Moreno explains that it was a hard time for him to return from his second deployment in Afghanistan. At home there were two small children and unfinished studies at Palmer Chiropractic College, but thanks to the full support he received from his family and his wife, who also served for 4 years and even went to tour in Iraq, he was able to adapt to civilian life.

After serving his country, this proud veteran is now working hard to serve his community members. Dr. Moreno opened his Frontline Chiropractic Clinic so he could offer the community an alternative to regular medicine. Dr. Moreno explained that he was inspired to help his patients to lead healthier lives partly because of his military experience and partly after watching his father, who is a marathon runner. During his life, Dr. Moreno had a chance to meet people from all walks of life. Those experiences made him understand one really important thing. He learned that we do not realize of how much our human body is capable of. Dr. Moreno firmly believes that is never too late to start leading a healthy lifestyle.

“With proper nutrition, exercise and conservative care, a healthier lifestyle can be achieved,” he shares. Dr. Moreno thinks that as a chiropractic physician he can help his patients to move towards a healthier lifestyle.

When it comes to his clinic Dr. Moreno shared that he named his clinic Frontline is not entirely because of his military experience. He said that while he was participating in a military operation he and a fellow soldier were sitting on top of the mountain overlooking an enemy village. It was then when they started talking about their lives at home. Their talk was a lengthy one and over the course of it Dr. Moreno mentioned that to his mind chiropractic care is the frontline of healthcare and that was then when he realized that the future clinic will be called Frontline Chiropractic.

Besides taking care of his family and running Frontline Chiropractic Clinic Dr. Moreno, also, takes a great pride in sponsoring different Quad Cities marathons and runs.

“We sponsor these events to support the cause,” Dr. Moreno explains the reasoning behind sponsoring these events. “The people and committees behind them are volunteers and selfless people. They need the support of the community and especially of the business which encourage healthy lifestyles.”

Behind Dr. Moreno’s white coat there is a proud veteran, a father, a husband, a brother and a son. Dr. Moreno spent more than a decade serving his country, and even though he is not in the military anymore, he never stopped serving his fellow citizens. He is one of those doctors who go beyond that one appointment, he spends time with his patients helping them achieve a healthier lifestyle and as a result live longer lives.
