‘Tis the season! The Holidays are right around the corner and just because the weather is getting colder, it does not mean that nothing fun is going on outside. Get your family and plan to go to a fun event in downtown Sterling that will put you in the Christmas mood.

Friday, November 18th starting at 5 PM come to downtown Sterling for the Christmas Walk, Tree Lighting and Fireworks. This event will sure fill people’s hearts with joy and holiday cheer. There will be a lot going on that night. Dale Park in Sterling will be turned into Santa’s Workshop, so the little ones can visit with Mr. and Mrs. Clause take pictures and participate in a variety of fun activities.
Light Up the Downtown will offer plenty of fun things to do for grownups as well. Everyone is welcome to check out the businesses in the downtown area. Many will offer specials on shopping and dining that day. There will also be activities, entertainment, open houses and refreshments.
One of the best parts of the night will happen at 8 PM. Families are invited to gather at the corner of Locust and 4th Streets to watch a lighting of the Library Plaza Christmas Tree. Also, Sterling Theater Tower will glow red, green and white for this special celebration of the best holiday season of the year. The night of fun and cheer will finish with spectacular fireworks.
