Amplified launches its inaugural podcast cohort with nine new shows highlighting culture, people and current affairs.
Des Moines, IA. – Amplified welcomes connectors, mavens and change makers into the podcast world to host crucial and much needed conversations.
Amplified launches the collective with nine new shows focusing on various topics such as friendships, motherhood, race, wellness and business. Each show with different hosts, life experiences and backgrounds. Poets, activists, therapists, artists and leaders come together to share themselves with listeners.
“I noticed people around me had great talents and wisdom, but were missing a platform. They bring their authentic selves and amazing content. All I’ve done is provide the tools for them to share their knowledge with us,” exclaimed Amner Martinez, Amplified founder. He is excited to see a diverse group of podcasters exercise their right to freedom of speech.
Launched in November 2020 to open doors and opportunities for individuals interested in podcasting. “For a podcast to be successful you need lots of love, patience and consistency,” Martinez explained. Amplified will work to remove the barriers keeping people from producing their own shows and connects them with resources in the podcast world. The following shows were published on Saturday, November 14:
The Amner Martinez Podcast by Amner and Kenji; Appointment with Ying by Ying Sa; Black & Privileged in America by Abena and Jay; Bring it Home by Chris Noth; Brothers Gon’ Work It Out by Daron Richardson; Los Apocalyptos y El Chino a comedy podcast entirely in spanish; Randomly Selected for Random Search (RSRS) by Shaimaa Aly; Unapologetic Wellness Podcast by Dr. Celisa Flores; Undocumented Momhood by Laura Rodriguez
