Who didn’t spend all year in 2002 singing, “No, no es amor lo que tu sientes se llama obsession”? Aventura exploded the world of music with their version of bachata. Romeo Santos, Lenny Santos, Henry Santos, and Max Agende Santos brought bachata to wider audiences and in the process, they became a legend.
Aventura, viewed as the most influential Latino group of all time, made an announcement of a surprise US 2020 Inmortal tour earlier today. The Kings of Bachata will have their first tour in 10 years. Their last one was in 2009. And February 28, 2020, Aventura will make a stop in Chicago, IL.
In the early 2000s, Aventura made bachata mainstream with their most popular song “Obsession.” This song was the first-ever bachata song to get a Number One single in many different European countries. It is believed that the guys updated bachata adding some urban feel to it, which in turn attracted a younger crowd to this genre. Thanks to Aventura, the bachata, Dominican folk genre, is known everywhere in the world. One might go as far as to say that Aventura opened the doors to the other well-known bachata singers of today.
Aventura tour 2020: Inmortal will kick off in Los Angeles, CA on February 6, 2020. On February 28, 2020, they will perform at the United Center in Chicago, IL. The tickets for their tour are going on sale on December 12 at 9:00 AM at ticketmaster.com.
Get ready because the Bachata Kings are BACK!
