“The vibe harks back to another era … with loads of antiques, porcelain signs and neon accents adorning the space, and a menu of simple, home-style cooked dishes,” wrote Food Network contributor Layla Khoury-Hanold.

Some of the dishes highlighted by the network include the chicken-fried steak, the hot beef sandwich – owner Scott Walker’s favorite – and the Gorilla burger, a two-thirds-pound burger topped with three slices of American cheese and three bacon strips on grilled Texas toast.

Or there’s also the Hot Stripper, a combo of grilled Texas toast, hash browns and three chicken strips, covered with sausage gravy.
