West Des Moines, IA — From September 5 to 14, 2025, the Iowa Latino Hospitality Council invites the community to celebrate, for the second year in a row, the richness of Latino culture through flavor, tradition, and culinary diversity during Iowa Latino Restaurant Week.
This culinary celebration brings together a vibrant selection of Latino restaurants in Des Moines and surrounding areas, offering special food and cocktail promotions designed to highlight the authenticity and creativity of Latin cuisine.
Among the participating establishments are 20 restaurants, including Peruvian, Salvadoran, Mexican, and others, such as Café Blue Beans, El Fogon Restaurants, Margaritas Buffet, Flame Cantina, Roots 95, Panka Peruvian Restaurant, El Barco Restaurant, Los Alegres Restaurant, El Paisano Mexican Food and Bakery, Old West Mexican Restaurant, La Cuscatleca South, Tullpa Restaurant, El Toro, El Pollo Ranchero Restaurant, Fiesta Mexican Restaurants, and El Guacamole Patio & Cantina Restaurant.
During these two amazing weeks, all customers will be able to enjoy two lunches for $25 or a dinner with an appetizer or dessert for $25. This event aims not only to delight palates but also to strengthen the sense of community and pride in our roots. It is an opportunity for families, friends, and lovers of fresh, multicultural food to come together and share the flavors that unite us.
“Latin cuisine is diverse, full of history, and made from the heart. Each dish served this week is prepared by certified men and women in the restaurant industry, who work with professionalism and great love to provide a memorable experience for their customers,” said Giovanna Rodríguez, Director of the Iowa Latino Hospitality Council. “This week is an invitation to celebrate not only our food, but also the effort, passion, and talent behind every Latino restaurant in Iowa.”
Iowa Latino Restaurant Week is supported by Coca-Cola, Sysco, Sazerac–Johnson Brothers, the Iowa Restaurant Association, and BMO Bank, who make this initiative possible—one that celebrates entrepreneurship in the restaurant sector and Latino culinary talent. We invite the entire family to join this celebration of flavors and traditions.
