Perry High School saw seven of its student-athletes sign their official letter of intent to continue their athletic career and education following their graduation on May 25.
The high school students signed their letters of intent during a celebratory signing day on Friday, April 25.
The students are listed alphabetically by last name (College – Sport):

The state runners-up’s second-leading scorer last season, Banuelos has collected 11 goals in his eight games played of his senior campaign.
Amy Diaz (Clarke University – Soccer)

One of the team’s two captains this season, Diaz has been a core piece of the Jayettes roster all four seasons in Perry and has lifted the team to its best start since 2018.
Ben Kusar (Triton College – Wrestling)

With a career record of 36-15, Kusar wrapped up his high school career at this year’s state championships with two wins on Iowa’s biggest stage.
Quin Mahler-Moreno (University of South Dakota – Swimming)

The first Perry student-athlete to appear in four consecutive state meets in the same sport in recent memory, Malher-Moreno finished her Jayette career with a bronze medal at the 2024 championship.

Part of the girls wrestling team from its inception a couple of years ago, Maylum posted a 45-10 career record with 39 pins en route to multiple state tournament appearances.
Owen Myers (Mt. Mercy University – Baseball)

A three-year starter, Myers led the team with 34 hits and 53 total bases, and his six triples were the fifth-most in Iowa last season.
Taryn Nehring (Grandview College – Track)
