Bellevue, NE- On Friday, March 21, 2025, Bellevue University near Omaha, Nebraska, will host the 15th annual Women on a Mission Conference, celebrating their years of service to women and girls. This conference has become a key event for fostering connections, personal growth, and professional development among its attendees.
According to Gina Ponce, the event’s president, they will not only celebrate the impact achieved over the years but also provide an opportunity to revisit some of the most relevant topics from past conferences, and some exciting new features.
“We have organized 15 conferences over the years, and each one has been a significant milestone. We take great pride in the work we have done, especially with young women, who have had the opportunity to connect with inspiring female leaders,” states Ponce.
Nationally Recognized Speaker
For the first time, the event will feature a nationally recognized speaker: Mónica Guzmán from Atlanta, Georgia, author of the motivational books Fearless by Choice and Stop Being a Lazy Leader.
This year, the high school attendees will not have separate sessions but will instead participate alongside college-age and adult women. “We have decided to assign specific tables where young girls can interact and build meaningful relationships throughout the day,” explains Ponce. This integration aims to foster stronger intergenerational connections and enhance mentorship opportunities and aligns with this year’s theme, Better Together.

Expert Leaders and Compelling Topics
The event will also include experienced leaders and businesswomen specializing in personal growth and professional development, such as:
Vera Valtier – Expert in youth skills development and behavior.
Stephanie Olson – Focuses on resilience education and addressing social issues.
Julie A. Schrader – Businesswoman, editor, and writer from Minnesota, author of Maud Hart Lovelace, Betsy-Tacy, and Deep Valley.
Shondra Ross – Clinical mental health counselor.
Jeanette Ponce – Networking facilitator.
Guadalupe Millán – Entrepreneur and emcee.
