Fred Armisen, the Saturday Night Live and Porlandia comedian has taken his love for comedy and music and combined them for a hilarious show that is coming to the Quad Cities tonight. The Comedy for Musicians but Everyone is Welcome tour combines some of Fred’s favorite SNL musical characters with a comedic twist to being a drummer. And some may not even have even known that he was a drummer unless they were fans of the Late Night with Seth Meyers show for which he was the musical director from 2014-2017 and is still guest drummer now from time to time. “Nobody else was going to book that show in the Quad Cities,” said Rust Belt owner, Sean Moeller. “We just thought Fred would be really into it and we were originally looking at it for Codfish Hollow, but it wasn’t available that night, so I suggested The Rust Belt.”
