East High School AP Spanish and Spanish Heritage classes, taught by Ruby Herrera, celebrated the completion of their El Chapulín Colorado mural on May 20, 2022. El Chapulín Colorado is an iconic Mexican superhero that represents Latino culture, hope, and resilience. Des Moines artist Seso Marentes designed the mural and helped the students paint it.
