DES MOINES, IA\u00a0<\/span><\/b>\u2013\u00a0<\/span>The Des Moines premiere of\u00a0<\/span>Disney\u2019s\u00a0<\/span>Aladdin<\/span><\/i><\/b>\u00a0opens tonight, Thursday, Nov. 29 at 7:30 p.m. at the Des Moines Civic Center for a limited engagement of two weeks through Dec. 9.\u00a0 In Des Moines,\u00a0<\/span>Aladdin\u00a0<\/span><\/i><\/b>will play Tuesdays through Fridays at 7:30 p.m., Saturdays at 2:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., and Sundays at 1:00 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.\u00a0 There will also be a 2:00 p.m. matinee on Thursday, November 29.<\/span><\/p>\n

Tickets to\u00a0<\/span>Aladdin<\/span><\/i><\/b>\u00a0are available now at DMPA.org<\/a>, the Civic Center Ticket Office, and by phone at<\/span><\/p>\n

The animated film\u00a0<\/span>Aladdin<\/span><\/i><\/b>\u00a0was released by Disney in 1992 and was a critical and box office smash, becoming the highest-grossing film of the year.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The film won the Oscar for Best Original Score and introduced the hit song \u201cA Whole New World,\u201d which won the second of the film\u2019s two Academy Awards as Best Original Song.\u00a0 The Peabo Bryson\/Regina Belle recording of the tune soared to #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.<\/p>\n
